The democratic party embraced Hitlers national socialism in the 30's, and they haven't changed a bit.   Republicans embrace nationalism ( which is love of country), democrats  now call themselves progressives , which is really international socialism, who worships the state, and demands total control of the state over all aspects of life.

Socialism has always failed, and always will, it it didn't it would have spread worldwide by now and we'd see shining examples of its success.

Actually, the business leaders led by Ford wanted to overthrow Roosevelt and install a General as the leader of America. Both Hitler and Mussolini were widely embraced by Rs.

“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”

Are you stoned beyond recognition?

Sorry but you're wrong, do a little more research please. I'm not saying Ford didn't hate Roosevelt, but the dems embraced Hitler AND Mussolini, the republicans did not.

By the way, the deomocrats also were the party of slavery, and they were also the party of segregation in the mid 20'th century. The republicans were the opposite both times.

Sorry but the history on the Republican party hatred of Roosevelt is clear. I am sure there were many Wall Street Dems in those days and many probably liked Hitler and Mussolini. But the Dems were being pushed by the communists at the time and they were not interested particularly by pro-business leaders.

No shit, the republicans hated Roosevelt, just like the dems hate Trump and the reps hated Obama, all that means nothing. I'm talking about the fact that when Hitler came to power, and turned Germany into a huge successful economy through his model of national socialism, his methods and economic model was embraced by Roosevelt and the democratic party. They supported Hitler and Mussolini up until the late 30's, the democrats looked to Germany as a model for how to bring the US out of the great depression.

The republicans NEVER did, they dont like govt control of major sectors of the economy, which is the main premise of Hitlers national socialism. Hitlers socialism was very close to communism, except the communists at the time looked to Russia for leadership, while hitler demanded that Germany be the heart of power.

Hitler was a pretty big hit in America across the board. He did use the govt to revive the economy which is very leftist but he also destroyed unions which was very fascist. Hitler is all things to all people though. Rs like to brand him a lefty and lefties like to brand him a fascist. He does not fit into any category so he can be used as you please because he did what he wanted.

Mussolini was really more to the style of the American right. Both were generally preferred over Roosevelt.

He was a socialist. This is exactly what the new Democratic Party is all about.

Hitler was initially supported by the German elite who thought he was just a dope with a Trump-like command of the people. they thought he would be their puppet and they could limit his power. Once Hitler got elected, he let them know who was running things and burned down the Reichstag in case anyone did not get the message. At that point, it was clear who was in charge and he began taking it to the communists who were lined up against him.

The burning of the reichstag was blamed on communists, which enabled Hitler to launch a crackdown on them. No ones knows who really did it. I could very well have been a false flag, we know a lot about that dont we, but we cant be sure.
