I retired at 57 (in 2017), I couldn't have done that if I didn't have any money, Compared to most here, I'm loaded but I dont consider myself to be rich, just very comfortable. You're right, i dont spend a ton of money, in fact I make more than I spend(a lot more) today i went to the casino to pick up my free thanksgiving turkey and pie, I ended up losing about $300 and stopped at Wendy's on the way home because they have any size fries for a buck - so I had a doublestack and large fry for about $3.50. I find it very amusing when guys like Tiger get upset because "he doesn't believe I have enough money to live on", as if it's my job to prove anything. Once you hit your 50's you start to realize you're not gonna live forever, I'm healthy and figure I can focus on things i find enjoyable...like golfing, gambling and shopping for expired meat.
