Stephen Hawking had some thoughts on the matter, he said that when the universe was created/born, it was created with a set of fundamental laws governing it(quantum physics, etc). He said it wouldn't be possible for a creator to break those laws to intervene, in other words miracles created out of thin air. He also said we live in a multiverse, meaning there are millions/billions of alternative universes, each of which would have different fundamental laws - that ours is but a soap bubble in a sea of foam. Apparently there are scientists who are working on finding out if that could be true or not, that there would be clues that might prove it. Either you're in the crapper and it's coming out of your ass like Niagara Falls, or you need that fucking miracle chuck from beyond the half court line for a cover, everyone has said their prayer one way or the other... And then the very few individual who borrowed money from the wrong guy and can't pay back starts praying to God as the goons close in on him./.. and the even fewer who pray to god that the bankruptcy claims go through smoothly in court the next day...
