Chickadee
I don't know many people who parlay MMA dogs. I do know people who parlay the favorites though. Seems like a publicity stunt.
WVU
The first fight the favorite won so all the dog bettors must have been late to the game
Sharp Square
It was $1 million for the whole event' date=' not that one fight. And they said a lot of it was from parlays that were on all the dogs (there were 10 straight underdog winners).[/quote'] This seems like its probably the case. Still a heck of a hit for UFC wagering but not as bad as it sounds for a large operation.
KingRevolver
bovada spend double that per year on marketing they can withstand 1mill And that's exactly what this whole story is... marketing.
BarryRunSome
Looks like Bodog Becky better get those KNEEPADS out, to recoup some of the losses
Bucky
I don't think they take more than a nickel on anything. This was just a ridiculous case of every dog winning. Surprised they had a bunch of dog parlays -- probably had more favorites and actually won, just looking for publicity. Yes, they probably won 950k on the favorites and only had a net loss of 50K. The should fly the guy in that won the 85k and take his picture and put it up on the website.

Escambo
In the long run, this is free advertising for Bovada. Watch all the guys signing up taking a shot on 5-10 parlays. Darren Revell just gave Bovada a lot more business by posting this story.
loman
Pays for itself in free advertising.

Bodog/Bovada is one of the best at coming up with these stories and getting mainstream media to pick them up.

Brutus Buckeye
I wonder if Bovada pays ESPN for stories like this? Last year ESPN ran about ten different stories that mentioned Bovada.

Last year ESPN ran about ten different stories that mentioned Bovada. Probably. Just like how WizardofOdds "recommends" Bovada as his #1 book... and that guy can't be cheap.
