Albeit, I am fucking around most of the time. But I dont know how many times I have heard, " I met XXXX and he's a good dude." Despite whatever douche things they say or do on the forums. VD might be the poster child for this. He seems to defend and make excuses for anyone he has met. Then goes golfing with them. If you are a douchebag like poster napoleon, then you are a douchebag. But probably not worth it to defend him on the forum, as people already have their minds made up on the guy and those same guys saying "hes a douchebag" are likely the guys that are weird and not normal people that would meet posters. I used to attack him on the forum - almost stalking him I hated him so much. Then, I met him. I now consider him my friend. I would walk through fire for him and I think he would walk through fire for me. We connected as Dads - making sure our daughters are not disappointed.
