Ehhhh... not as good as people think. Judge and Stanton coming back make them a different team. Played great with after all the injuries. At one point they still hit homers close to Last years rate. But also hit well with RISP and kinda played small ball driving guys in and not trying on the homer. Rotation pitched better than they are and they played an easily schedule. German had a nice run but he’s no where near as dominant as he was. Tanaka is streaky. And now he’s on his bad streak where his splitter sinker have no bite. Happy is great as a 4th or 5th starter but they need him to be a top

Of rotation guy which he isn’t. God knows what severing we will get if or when he comes back. CC is what you expect. 5th starter who will keep you in a lot of games but have a bunch of starts like last night and a few where’s he labors through 5 or 6 and lucks into giving up a run or two.

Paxton can’t stay healthy. If he can he’s not a dominate #1 either. Great number 2 when healthy and has been great at home until last start.

Judge and Stanton make them one dimensional again like last year. Potential to still win 90 or 90+ but lack pitching for playoffs.

Pen already over worked and not looking as good. Betances prib done. Chapman not the same since the cubs blew him out. Won’t last.

3rd best team in the division unless they add an top of the line starters by the deadline.

This might be the most impressive write-up/breakdown ever written by Michael.

Impressive.

To the point of the thread I don’t get. If Stanton and judge weren’t coming back or even one of them. Then makes sense. Split with voit? Or Stanton to play left which isn’t smart. Maybe trading voit?
