I’d look into how much that one particular stat is factored into QB rating.More than it should be, IMO, as are TD passes. It's still better than ESPN's bogus QBR though. I wouldn't take exhibition QB performances seriously. Nate Peterman is one of the best QB's in the exhibitions the last 2 years. Mahomes was 2-5 for 11 yards last week. He'll be fine, and I suspect so will Jimmy G. He is a high turnover guy though. Even in his great spurt at the end of 2017 that earned him the contract, he threw 5 INTS in 5 starts.
