USC lost early in two seasons and then ran the table only to be shut out of the playoffs. It leaves the team who has to replace a lot of starters next to no chance. Was more a reflex reaction to feeling picked on. Pitt is always the same, puts a lot of really good players in the NFL, but somehow wins 6.5 games on average. This game was a case of why teams like UCF should STFU. When it’s for 1 game only and it’s their Super Bowl they can compete with P5 teams. But if they had to go an entire year with the weekly grind against major conference opponents they would be just another average team. When these teams have to play P5 squads back to back you rarely see them look good the 2nd game. UCF had a great team in 2017, the last 2 years not so much.
