The relationship between the New England Patriots and Antonio Brown was short-lived, with the team releasing him on Friday. Due to his release, Brown could go from being given $30 million guaranteed to just $158,333 made in 2019, per Field Yates.

When the Oakland Raiders traded for the disgruntled wideout in March, the Raiders handed him a new contract that included $30 million in guarantees. It was impressive for Antonio Brown to negotiate a new contract that included guaranteed money after his previous deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers had no guarantees remaining on his deal.

However, before he got the opportunity to see any of his money from the Raiders, Brown was released by the team. During his time in Oakland, the talented wide receiver caused drama, ranging from frostbitten feet to getting into an altercation with general manager Mike Mayock.

By being released by the Raiders, his $30 million in guarantees was nullified. Shortly after his release, New England decided to sign him to a one-year deal that was worth $15 million. Additionally, his contract included a $9 million signing bonus.

On Monday, Brown was supposed to receive $5 million of his signing bonus. But it is unconfirmed if the veteran pass-catcher received his money from the Patriots.

Therefore, there is a chance that Brown will only have made $158,333 this season. That’s quite a difference compared to his original expectation of netting $30 million with the Raiders.

Why? He’s shown to be nothing but a major disruption to three teams now. Every team needs him but it’s not worth the trouble. That speaks volumes when Greg Ellis could find work immediately.

He is the best receiver in the league. He would catch 15 Dak TD passes this year. If they have a shot to get him cheap they could be celebrating a title this year.

AB just called out ALL the NFL owners.......saying they can cancel guaranteed contracts etc....AB also claims he is done with the NFL and threw a jab at Kraft saying “Different strokes for different folks”. Not even Dallas wants this guy anymore. Seattle coach Carroll has said “We are now all set at WR”......
