Teddy kgb
Probably is the key word Slim, but in the contract he wouldn’t have to, he could say sucks for me and keep my $4800 He could say that I rented the house from him and tuff luck that the sea doo rental is closed along with the casino I want to stay but I’m not sure if this thing blows over by then or if my wife, daughter and son all will have their job back any time soon If I knew all that I’d still want to go but I dont and May 23rd is coming fast......I’d rather get a refund and know for sure if August could happen and find a place then. This is not a mess I created (for once) this is fully the fault of CV-19 so why not just recognize that and have a heart and give me my money back? RealSlimShady
This thing is going to be over by mid june, july1 at the latest.I believe things will reopen late May to mid June. Can't keep everything closed forever
FairWarning
Teddy, we are in the same dilemma working with venues. We have over 500 events booked this year, refunded the state ordered only. Basically these venues are just buying time hoping for a Hail Mary. If someone wanted a refund for an event 60 days we’ll give it.

Pretty sure if things were still shut, he would not be able to fulfill his end of the deal and rent the unit out. Would have no choice but refund you and I'm sure the rental company will take your side then.Again, if you were on his end of this deal, you probably wouldn't refund now either. Teddy kgb
My daughters wedding is July 31st that’s a whole different problem....at least that venue allows a rain date
FairWarning
So even if you are right I’d still be sweating my money in Full if I paid second installmentYou brought up a good point about if someone lost their job and couldn’t afford the trip. Unfortunately that is where the insurance comes in.
RealSlimShady
So even if you are right I’d still be sweating my money in Full if I paid second installment I think you will be fine. Most airlines aren't refunding tickets either....UNTIL the flights get cancelled. Similar situation here, IMO.

All he has to say is that I rented the house from him not the entertainment.... Also it doesn’t matter what I’d do because I’m a broke dick, I’m sure the house I rented is worth a couple million so this guy has money.....I’m a good person at heart and if I had his money and the CV-19 shit was going on and I was sure I wasn’t being played then Yes I would refund

If I'm not mistaken, all AirBNB type places are not available as rentals now in cities that are shut down? But I am not 100% on this. RealSlimShady
Ok Slim so all that aside.....what advice would you give me if I really really wanted to get my money back? Lawyer?Keep bugging owner?Keep calling Vrbo?Credit card involvement? This outside agency Vrbo is pushing off to me?- Probably too small a case- Doesn't seem like he wants to play ball at this point.- Perhaps. But what does their fine print say?- Chargeback is usually a last resort and banks always ask for you to resolve with other party first- No opinion on this. Don't know why a another party needs to get involved. Bottom line is what does VBRO fine print say in regards to cancellations?
Screw Andrews
OK Teddi I feel sorry for you so..... Here's a novel idea for you....don't worry about the deposit right now... Try to arrange delaying second payment thru rental company citing the fact that the trip might be off due to virus.....
RealSlimShady
Hmm...VBRO is still renting condos/houses in Vegas for this week. It doesn't look like you will get too much help on that end.
