The initiative aimed at combatting violence in American cities, including expanding a federal law enforcement presence in Chicago. Mayor Lori Lightfoot said she got assurances from the federal government that agents would be focused on efforts to help the city with its pressing need to deal with gun violence, not with protesters. It's whack a mole. You have hundreds of gang violence interactions daily..mostly drive bys result in deaths. Unless you have technology to predict the shooting well in advance what good does it do? Yesterday's funeral home shooting, they knew there was potential for violence , they had two police units there. That didn't really help, did it?
