Democrats can't even agree to have an ID check to vote, I can't imagine they'd support doing it online. Harder than it sounds. Also, vulnerable to server side attacks. Think about the most secure BTC wallet - its an offline wallet in paper storage. No tech is or will ever be perfectly secure. As a result the best way to vote is a hard ballot with a paper trail.
