We had 13 kids on the 3/4 team and 2 suitable coaches. The 5th grade team had only 4 players and no coach. So I took my boy and another kid and we went up to 5th grade. 6 players. One game, a kid didn’t come so we had 5. Kid gets hurts in game. You can play with 4 but that doesn’t work very good. My daughter (5th grade) was cheerleading. I had her dress and she played. She was better than half the team so I kept her on the team. She would cheer for the first half and then play the second half to provide depth. She was always on the court at the end of the game.
