There's a Subway across the street from me. I never go in there but last week I went in for a Sammich.

Their toaster was broken and their ice machine was down. I told them that this would be a hell of a place for a Sammich shop and left.

WTF?

Another year of this crap and every store will be staffed with robots.

No restaurants open at the casino

I head over to the Kum and Go market grill

I'm sorry sir were all out of bread

$15 an hour :money

This fucks aint worth 50 cents an hour

There has been bread shortages here thanks to bakery workers on strike.  It’s really been an ugly year - it may take another year to fix the supply chain.  Feel for those restaurant workers who made no money on a 3-day weekend because of the closing.

it won't be fixed

will keep getting worse as people keep quitting over vax mandates, and the ones not quitting will keep getting jabbed, and keep getting sick and die

Seems to be a lot of news about school bus driver shortages - gee I wonder why? Lots of talk about staffing shortages at hospitals and nursing homes - once again made much worse by vaccine mandates,  but the real shit hasn't even hit the fan yet when millions of people across the board in most industries bail. The good news it will be mainly in blue states but it will ripple everywhere.

and notice how the media reports a total walkout under protest by air traffic controllers as a "staffing issue"

fucking liars that have no agenda other than vax mandates

almost everyone i know that works hard is conservative and against mandates

almost everyone i know that doesn't work is for them

so who is gonna do all the work?  it's already becoming almost impossible to find a plumber, electrician, someone to fix anything... wife's car is being repaired for weeks because they are short on mechanics, and can't find parts

will be some interesting times coming soon, and not in a good way

Pilots unions are also resisting - they all need to take coordinated action to make a difference, shutting down most air travel in the US during the work week would be something they couldn't ignore.

The last two times I went to the Subway they were out of meatballs

I think their Saturday hours are 11am - 3pm :laugh

I told the cvnt to pull some frozen ones out a nuke them for a minute

The lazy fukk told me to order something else

I guess in Biden's America the customer is always wrong

that gets pretty hard to do at scale... 5/100 people being paid under the table is doable... 20/100 becomes way trickier

They will eventually be documented with a pathway to citizenship.   In my area, Pepsi, Frito Lay, three bread companies, Nabisco, Kellogg have been or are on strike now.  Those suppliers have never recovered.  Everything is a hot mess right now.   Your point is correct MM, I wasn’t clear enough.

yeah i agree

it's a hot mess but unless every covid rule/mandate is eliminated soon, it's about to get much worse

just wait until it's really hard to get something you really NEED

There are a bunch of Southwest cancellations at McCarren again today.

Thankfully, the Southwest pilots are standing their ground.

Hopefully this shit spreads like wildfire

I'm willing to endlessly suffer to get the child sniffing prick out of office.

Yup.  Natural gas prices are supposed to double this winter, coming off a mild winter also.

I got a notice in my latest bill that because of that TX cold snap and subsequent enormous price spikes we will have a surcharge on our bills for the next 2 yrs, it's be fairly large in the summer when use is minimal, lower in the winter, I'm guessing it might be $10-20/bill.
