why should the government have ANYTHING to do with providing baby formula?  somehow the dumbasses in this country think it's a good idea to take a shitload of planes overseas to buy formula and bring it back

as if we just have a shitload of planes, pilots, etc just sitting around waiting to do that

when the same incompetent, corrupt people that created these crisis (fauci, us govt, pfizer, etc) say they are going to fix them, we should run

Consumers have actually been shielded so far from the full brunt of soaring expenses that are facing producers, distributors and small businesses like restaurants. But they can only hold back for so much longer.

Take the case of Jeff Good, who co-founded three restaurants in Jackson, Mississippi. Around 18 months ago, a 40-pound box of chicken wings cost him about $85. Now, it can go as high as roughly $150. Expenses for cooking oil and flour have nearly doubled in the past five months, he said. But it’s not just ingredient prices going up. He’s paying more for labor and services, too. Even the company that maintains his air conditioners has tacked on a $40 fuel charge per visit. To cope, he’s raised menu prices.

A 15-piece order of chicken wings, a signature dish at his Sal and Mookie’s pizzeria, went for $13.95 before Covid hit. Now, wing costs can vary so much they’re labeled at “market price,” like some restaurants do with lobster. At peaks, the menu price can be be about $27.95 — but that represents a barely-there margin — and Good estimates the “real cost” is closer to about $34. He’s trying to decide whether to keep raising prices or take wings off the menu.

John Bull  Durham's star witness was a bust. This indictment after 3 years is a farce and injustice.  M. Sussman is an innocent victim of Republicon scum John Bull Durham.

You can still get an order of wings(6-8) for less than $10 here, sometimes as low as $5 during happy hour.

for now

we're getting to the point where some of the restaurants around here haven't raised prices much, and it's probably cheaper in a lot of cases to get the food at the restaurant!

there's a high-end grocery store near me with a $8.99/lb lunch buffet, and they have large shrimp on there that they also sell 20 feet away for $19.99/lb lol

I still go to places that charge $2 drink for happy hour - bottles and rails, why they haven't raised prices to at least $2.50 is beyond me. I can get sloshed for 10 bucks.

Democracy will always fail if one party refuses to acknowledge defeat.

There were illegals and dead people voting? No way Trump lost. Redstripe cam confirm this.

Why do conservative scum hate women and southern border migrates so much.  To the extent they cheat and steal to win?

4 drinks on an empty stomach would get you easily over the limit

6+ drinks and a cop might bust you

Day drinking is better for that, way too much traffic for them to zero in on you.

besides, I've been drinking and driving for 40 years and never been caught yet, not a concern.

Day drinking is better in general.  Everybody is fresher, it's more fun and lively, brighter outside, better weather, and overall more social.  Night drinking at the restaurant/bar is college stuff.
