About everything. In the last decade housing prices doubled, property tax just got increased by 2.5%  the food prices since covid 19 gone up 30 to 100% percent, sells tax 13%, income tax 15 to 33%. 6 pack of Heineken beer 500ml cans $20.99. Alcohol sells in Ontario controled by the government of Ontario so it doesn't matter which store you go it is all same price, just like in good old USSR 😄. 2 weeks ago government of Ontario increased the tax on booze by 20% accross the board. A pack of cigarettes an average price $20, cheep smokes the lowest price $16.75. Glass of wine $17 to 20.Our economy is dying people can no longer afford to go out. The price hikes and the taxes are way overboard, tons of homeless they are everywhere now, and it is all accross Canada. Back in the 90's you will not even find one. Same like in US the neighborhoods had gone to shit, crime rates are way up. Blacks in Canada are the largest minority 8.5% given that Canada has only has 8 large cities you would think 15%-20.Same situation with the Arabs. From the 90s to the present it is like you have moved to another country. Downtown I used to go out in the 90's early 2000 now is a shithole full of blacks and arab gangs. One of my friends is a cop get this they don't have body cameras they are not allowed to wear a camera because it is violating whatever the fvck rights. Canada is still under British influence. British monarchy is still part of the Canadian political system to this day "shared monarchy". Not exactly an independent country. South of the boarder your home country the largest trade partner on whom Canadian economy rellys the most. So Canada doesn't have much of it's own say.

Does Canada depend on U.S. economy?
Canada's Economy Depends on the United States. It doesn't border any countries other than the United States. This makes shipments of goods to other markets more expensive.Canada doesn't even have it's own trade Fleet.

We can't even refine our own oil it has to be shipped to US and then brought back to Canada. :laugh That surly cost effective. It's all because we are not allowed to have our own refinery. Lol. There 2 small refinerys but to build the major one no. That will cut into profits of some people who are not going to be happy. We got same changes happening as you do on much larger scale with higher taxes and much weaker and more dependant economy.

Sorry, you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Asians are the largest minority in Canada

lived in Canada all my life, there we’re homeless people in Victoria in the 70s(probably cause we have nicer year round weather)

Alcohol/cigarettes has always been regulated by the government, the taxes help offset the health issues associated with these habits

Housing has quadrupled since 2000,and I feel for the younger generation but that’s the price you pay to live here

Inflation is everywhere, just got back from Mexico(Zihuatanejo) and everything was much more expensive

Yes,Canada is much more dangerous than it has ever been but still much safer than most of the world

I l use to go to Blaine/Seattle hundreds of times when I lived in Vancouver to buy cheap gas/food and have been to Vegas more times than I can remember

I hate when landed immigrants come to our Country and have the nerve to complain,Why don’t you go back to Russia if you think it’s better there or the States.Sounds more like you didn’t get a piece of the pie so your bitter

Yes BC is a China Town now.Canadian cities are full of niggers and Arabs. Canada in terms of safety is getting pretty much even with US that's the new reality. I am not bitter I did good in life. I feel your pain you don't like when someone calls the things the way they are. As I said before Canada in the 90s and now are 2 different countries. In other words a shithole country that is quickly turning into a 3ed world country.

Tnx for conformation. What I like or don't like is non of your fvcking business! Mike asked me a question and and I tell him the things the way they are.

Was in Toronto in September of last year to watch baseball games, also go to Vancouver 5-6 times a year(have a brother there)That’s skid row in Vancouver, been there since the 80’s you don’t think most major cities in the states has areas like that?

I agree the whole world is going for a huge shit,my only complaint is the false information you spread about a country you seem to know very little about that accepted your family as political asylums

First you said you hadn't seen any homeless since the 70s and it had something to do with bad weather. Lol. Do homeless people tend to go out and sleep on the street when the weather is bad.? And what do you know about my family? Avery is back home . What makes you think I am a polical refugee? Hahaha. So who is here make things up.

The icing on the cake is the retierd Canadians are forced to sell their homes because they can't afford to the property tax.

Last post to you, your reading comprehension seeks to be lacking.I said there WAS homeless in Victoria in the 70s probably cause the weather is more mild here.Retired people aren’t selling their homes because they can’t pay their property taxes they have property tax deferment starting at 55 if one so desires.

Most retired people that own homes in Canada have the majority of the wealth and if they really had to they could borrow off their equity to pay their taxes or take a reverse mortgage.

As a frequent visitor to Canada, but not a resident...

I don't enjoy visiting Vancouver as much as I used to. It's still to superior to most major American cities as far as safety  and cleanliness, but it's really going downhill fast. The open air drug use isn't helping matters in my opinion. The Vancouver suburbs remain largely unchanged in my opinion but the city itself is troubling.

Still in all, Canadians are just more friendly than us Americans.

Maybe it has something to do with the politics that continue to get more and more socialist in western society.

And Canada seems to be leading the way in that regard.

Just ask your blackfaced PM.

So you don't think the problem is expanding despite the fact that your socialist leaders claim to be helping?

In the US we have a rebellious streak that goes back to us being a battle born revolutionary republic. We tend to push back.

Canada just doesn't have that in it's DNA. They never pushed back very hard against English rule, dominianhood or commonwealth statuses.

My Canadian friends bitch about their government full time but in practicality just take the government at it's word and push onward.

Not gonna make this a political debate cause you guys are hardcore.I will go on the record that Trudeau is an entitled prick that comes from a lineage of privilege(His mom is from the Sinclair family) and I strongly dislike him.

My problem is vitaylo spewing a bunch of inaccuracies in his paragraph I quoted,if he doesn’t like it here,Leave!

Go back to the motherland or wherever he thinks is better.Obviously,Canada isn’t what it was when I was a kid either but this shit is happening all over the world.

It's gonna take all of us to change it back to what it should be.

Sounds like he's on the same side as you.

Only large blue cities have open homelessness, all cities have homeless people but most wont let them take over the streets or do drugs openly like that, they might be in some park or some smaller area near downtown but they wont be on display for everyone to see.

I'm always somewhat sensitive to non-native residents criticizing the USA but they often have a perspective differing from mine that is still worthy.

I tend to overlook things they notice.

I can get defensive with a "My country, right or wrong" attitude that I mostly attribute to military service.

I am 100% agree with you! Let me put it this way back in the Medieval days or the Dark ages every one wanted to live in Roman Empire why would not they.? You serve in Roman army for 20 years become a citizen of Rome you get the money piece of and a slaves as a reward. You have made it life is good. What I don't like is when the politicians using an excuse just like Dingo did "There far worst places and the things are not that bad" in other words so be great full on what we are doing and you have to comply ,look how people live in Africa. Something like this.

Immigrants are the modern day slaves you get the cheap labor for more profits and to keep the price down. Trader Joe's sells $2.00 bottle of wine, how is that work? Who picks does grapes. US doesn't have 20 other countries boarding them, if you really wanted you could of shut down illegals in the blink of an eye.

It’s been that for years and years.  Italian and Irish immigrants were exploited for cheap labor in the 1800’s.
