Humans are animals with fear too.

Good point.

But we possess a higher functioning logical database of options when confronted with fear.

We may filter our fear of injury through factors like health insurance, leaving our children without a parent, financial obligations, etc. We may determine that fleeing is the best overall scenario.

Whereas the Silverback has far fewer concerns aside from survival.

No fleeing from a cage fight.

The only way to see your family again is to defeat the gorilla.

So how many people can one gorilla take out?

Why don’t they just walk into villages and slaughter everyone since it’s so easy?

Probably a dozen I would guess if caged with them.

As for the villages, if threatened by a lack if food they likely would attack them. Otherwise, I don't think socialization with humans is in their make-up. I think they hold a healthy distrust of others by nature.

So a dozen, but you'd bet the gorilla at any number against 10?

Hmm.

Well, I said basically this on page one.

But the gorilla isn't trained at all in fighting either.

They eat plants and termites.

i agree the gorilla would not understand and is not prepared properly. therefore any gorilla chosen for this must be trained for months to face the challenge.

If it's trained to kill humans on site then this just became a no bet.  I wouldn't want to do that to the humans.
