Anyone Think Denver Could Underachieve And Manning Play Decline This Season?

Been thinking a lot going back to last postseason that Manning seems spent. Between Manning being spent i think the coaching changes could possibly backfire on them. There was a stretch of games last season where Manning looked like he was on his last legs and then the loss to Indy in the postseason. I would not doubt at all seeing Manning not have that good of a season by his standards and i've heard a lot about Denver possibly being mostly a running team in 2015. I do think Denver will underachieve next season. I think Denver could possibly lose to Baltimore in the opener. First four out of six on the road. After the bye is rough Green Bay,Indy,New England,San Diego,Pittsburgh,Kansas City,Cincy and San Diego again. If Peyton fades down the stretch and they lose to some of these teams they might barely get into the postseason. For Denver to be good this season i think the defense and running game will carry them. I have them 10-6 in my predictions. On the flipside there very well could be a chance i'm wrong and this new offense which depends more on the running game could end up actually being good for Manning however once the postseason hits that seems to be where Manning always ends up in trouble. I'm not a Denver fan at all but i know i'm not the only one that is surprised that they haven't even won a Super Bowl because they have had some good teams that Manning should've took all the way. It is crazy they've only sniffed one title game and lost at that.

Big time

I assume if Denver gets up by multiple scores late in games we may see manning sit some.

last year they should have done that, but where on a quest to set NFL passing records.

Yeah Manning is close to setting some more passing records this year not sure what they are maybe yardage and TD's. I think he desperately not only wants those records but to also at least win one more Super Bowl because winning one more would be big for his legacy. Honestly right now its hard for the Manning supporters to say he is the best ever especially since Brady has now won four titles and Manning has won only one. Manning legacy takes a big dip when it comes to the postseason due to him falling short so much. As far as the regular season Manning was on fire winning at least ten games a year and making the playoffs every year for over a decade.

I don't get caught up in SB's myself.

Marino won none

Dilfer won won

Warren Moon?...........damn dude could sling it.

Kelly lost 4 (obviously GREAT GREAT GREAT QB)

Elway (who I think is the best ever) couldn't win with out Davis at RB.

Montana played with a HOF team all around him

Brady plays for and is a cheater.

I think I posted this on SBR.  People hating on Manning is like people hating on Lebron.  Both have had their shortcomings when it comes to the playoffs, but the stats speak for themselves.  They are the best of the best.

I don't know if he'll be sitting at all this season, because like mike said, there is still a couple records that are within reach this season I believe.  If he goes another year after that, I believe he will pretty much lead every single QB throwing stat.

I don't see them underachieving this year.  Hopefully they make a run to the superbowl, them and Baltimore are about the only teams in the AFC I can stand.

Manning was injured, he's fine. No one saw a decline, they saw an injury.

It's not hard at all to say manning is the best ever. Brady gets hurt and a guy who hadn't started since high school breaks records and wins 11. Manning got hurt and that roster was 0-14.

Hail flaccos happen to Peyton, it doesn't take away from what he's done, he's made up for more deficiencies than any QB in NFL history.

Yeah i've watched Peyton for years play and no QB could dominate a game like him. I know he was someone the Titans had to play twice a year every year he was tough.

Warren Moon is one of my favorites of all time. I love the gunslingers like Moon,Marino,Kelly and Dan Fouts. Fouts was the first QB ever to have back to back 400 yard games. Fouts was doing stuff in the passing game in the early 80's that guys like Drew Brees,Aaron Rodgers are doing now.
